Das Wort hat sich der Vorposter ausgedacht. Klänge im am. TV viel zu
sehr nach begatten. Ab und zu gibts bei PBS wohl ein Telethon (aus
Television und Marathon), wo der Zuschauer um Spenden gebeten wird.
So selten, wie ich allerdings TV ansehe, oder diesen SEnder
einschalte, ist mir bisher noch keiner über den Bildschirm gelaufen

C-SPAN (Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network), private, nonprofit
public affairs television network, based in Washington, D.C. The
C-SPAN network offers 24-hour programming on three channels: C-SPAN
1, C-SPAN 2, and C-SPAN Extra. Programming on C-SPAN 1 includes
coverage of proceedings in the United States House of
Representatives, while C-SPAN 2 covers the United States Senate. When
the two houses of Congress are not in session, the C-SPAN network
offers other political and public affairs programming such as
coverage of political speeches or debates. C-SPAN Extra features live
coverage of major political events happening outside Congress. C-SPAN
also operates C-SPAN Radio 90, a public affairs radio station
broadcasting on the Internet and in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan
area. All C-SPAN programming is also broadcast worldwide on the
Internet.
Most C-SPAN broadcasts consist of unedited coverage of government
proceedings or discussions. The programs give viewers a closer look
at the work of elected officials, policy makers, and journalists.
C-SPAN carries no advertising and receives no funding from the
government
